Who can Register in the HLM Scheme

HLM Scheme

Anyone involved in the production of handloom products can register with the Textiles Committee to avail benefits under the Handloom Mark Scheme. This includes:

  • Individual Weavers
  • Master Weavers
  • Apex & Primary Handloom Weavers Co-operative Societies
  • Handloom Development Corporations
  • Self Help Groups
  • Manufacturer – Exporters
Eligible User Types

To ensure authenticity and prevent misuse, applicants are registered only after onsite verification. Labels are supplied quarterly, based on estimated annual production and sales—except in the case of exporters.

Eligible Categories under Handloom Mark Scheme

Description of User Categories:

Weaver:

  • Individuals who own a handloom and weave personally.
  • Individuals owning 2+ looms and employing other weavers.

Society:

  • Handloom co-operative societies registered under the Registrar of Societies (State Government).
  • Apex societies controlled by State or Central Government.

Others:

  • Self Help Groups (SHGs)
  • Producer Companies
  • Joint Liability Groups
  • Handloom Weavers Groups
  • Federations & Consortiums
